東南アジアの話。 インドネシア編
皆さんどうも。
さて本日は、毎日投稿13日目です。
シリーズものだと気持ちに余裕がありますね。
今日は「インドネシア」。
個人的には非常に思い入れのある国です。
まずは昨日同様に基礎データから。
国名：インドネシア共和国(Republic of Indonesia)
面積：約192万平方㌔（日本の訳5倍）
人口：約2.70億人
首都：ジャカルタ
国語：インドネシア語

とこんな国でございます。
圧倒的に規模がでかい！
いろいろなところで東南アジア最大の国でございます。
僕が始めていったのは小学2-3年生のころ。
伯父の結婚式でバリ島に行きました。
個人的には、これこそ自分が東南アジアを専攻しようと思うようになった最初のきっかけであると思っています。
2週間現地の語学学校に単身で通いました。
最後に2日くらいジャカルタを観光して、この時は帰国。
今日はジョグジャカルタ多めでお送りしていこうと思います。
とはいえ、日本人が行きたいのはやっぱりバリ島ですよね。
当時の記憶を呼び覚ましてお伝えすることにはなるので、最近の様子はあまり存じておりません。
バリ島はイスラム教の多いインドネシアにおいてほとんど唯一、ヒンドゥー教が主となっています。
ビーチなんかももちろん有名なのですが、せっかくバリ島なのであれば、ヒンドゥー教の寺院もぜひいろいろと見てもらいたいとおもいます。
バリならいろいろなご飯もありますし、治安も比較的良いので日本人も安心して楽しめるかと思います
さて、本題のジョグジャカルタ。普段はジョグジャと呼ばれることが多いですかね。
ジャカルタを東京とするなら京都のような場所と認識して間違いないかと思います。
大きな寺院として、ボロブドゥール寺院、プランバナン寺院があります。
どちらも非常に歴史のある寺院で、ジョグジャに言ったら絶対に訪れてほしいスポットです。
街の中心部からは若干離れているのですが、タクシーやGrabなどを使えば比較的楽にアクセスすることができると思います。
インドネシアの寺院は、インドから伝わってきたヒンドゥー教や仏教の影響が大変強く残っており、同じ仏教の寺院であるといっても、日本で見受けられるものとは全く異なります。
そもそもヒンドゥー教そのものが日本においては非常に稀なものであると思います。
ボロブドゥールは、仏教の寺院であり、何段にもなる階層的な構想をしています。
壁にはラーマーヤナというインドの叙事詩が刻まれており、一つ一つの絵にストーリーが刻まれています。
他方、プランバナンはヒンドゥー教の寺院であり、それぞれの建物がヒンドゥー教の神様一体一体を表しています。境内も広く、周囲に様々な寺院があります。
プランバナン寺院では、夜になるとラーマーヤナの劇をやっており、非常に興味深い内容になっています。これとっても面白いのでぜひ見に行ってみてください。
ジョグジャカルタの街並みは、非常に落ち着いていて、高い建物もほとんどありません。
市の中心部にはマリオボロ通りと呼ばれるショッピングストリートや、かつての王宮、広場などがあります。
観光メインでも、ゆっくり過ごすのにも適した街だと思います。
インドネシアは、ものすごい数の島で構成される世界最大の島国です。
島ごとに違った魅力もありますので、ぜひいろいろと調べてみてください。
私もまた、インドネシアに行きたいと思います。

Today’s topic is Indonesia.
I have a special feeling for Indonesia.
At first, let’s see the fundamental data.
Name: Republic of Indonesia
Land Area: About 1,920,000㎢ (About five times of Japan)
Population: About 270,000,000
Capital: Jakarta
Language: Indonesian.

How huge Indonesia is!!
I went to Indonesia for the first time when I was 8 or 9years old.
I went there for my uncle’s wedding.
This was the first opportunity to think about South East Asia.
And, the second visit is to Jogjakarta.
I went to a language school for two weeks.
Today, I would like to talk mainly about Jogjakarta.
However, most Japanese people want to go to Bali island.
My memory is not so clear and I might have old information.
In Indonesia, most people believe Islam, but people in Bali mainly believe in Hindu.
So, you can see some unique and beautiful temples.
You can enjoy a variety of food there.
Bali is really safe and Japanese people can enjoy it well.
Then, I will talk about Jogjakarta. Usually called Jogja.
It’s an old city and It is like Kyoto in Japan.
Borobudur and Prambanan is two big temples in Jogjakarta.
Both are really historical and those are places you must visit.
These temples are a little bit far from the center of the city.
But, you can easily access it with a taxi or Grab app.
Temples in Indonesia is well influenced by religions of India, and even though it is Buddhism temple, the building is completely different from that in Japan.
Borobudur is a temple of Buddhism and it has a unique pyramid shape.
There is a relief of Indian story called Ramayana on the wall.
On the other hand, Prambanan is a temple Hindu and each building means the god of Hindu one by one.
In Prambanan, there is a Ramayana play in the night.
I recommend you guys to watch that. Quite interesting.
The city of Jogjakarta is good. Really comfortable and good for living.
In the center of the city, there is a famous shopping street called “Maliobolo”.
And an old palace and a big square in there.
Indonesia is the biggest islands country.
Every island has an original charm.
I want you to find your favorite island there.
