Distinction-お勧めの単語帳の話。

今日は、僕が個人的におすすめしたい英単語帳の話です。
皆さんは、ATSUという方をご存知でしょうか。
今はYoutubeなどで主に活躍されている日本人で、元はオーストラリアで会計士をされていた方です。
彼はもう長くYoutubeをやっており、その中で英語学習の方法などを紹介しています。
そして、そんな彼が作った単語帳として”Distinction”というシリーズがあります。
今はⅠⅡⅢと続けて出版されており、僕の大好きなシリーズです。
それとは別にDistinction2000というものもあり、こちらもあとで紹介します。
まずはⅠⅡⅢのDistinctionから。
この単語帳、何がすごいって、まず載っている単語、熟語たちがものすごいんです。
はっきり言って、初めて1週やったときは2-3割しかわかりませんでした。
難しい単語とか、複雑な組み合わせというわけではなく、一見とてもシンプルなフレーズばかり。
それでも、日本人になじみがないものばかりなのは、ラインナップが本当にネイティブが日常の生活で使うものに厳選されており、かつ日本で英語を勉強していて触れることのなかった単語や熟語をチョイスして載せているからです。
著者のAtsuさんが実際にオーストラリアで仕事をし、生活をする中で出会った言葉たちは、我々日本人の語彙に全く新しい世界を見せてくれると思います。
そして、Distinctonシリーズのもう一つ素晴らしいところは、単語帳のレイアウトです。
英語のフレーズに対して、日本語の訳と英語の訳、そしてそのフレーズの由来が書かれているレイアウトは、何とも美しくまた効率的です。
また例文も豊富で、それもナチュラルな状況ばかりがチョイスされていることもあり、使用例を非常に具体的にイメージすることができると思います。
100単語ずつ4つのチャプターに分かれているのですが、自分はこれを毎日20単語ずつ新しいものと前日にやったものと音読するようにしています。
各チャプターごとに覚えた単語やフレーズを自分の会話の中で使えた時は本当にうれしいし、会話相手のネイティブも、「え、そんな表現知ってるん？」みたいなリアクションをしてくれることもあります。
購入はAtsuさんご本人のサイトのみから行うことができます。
自分の英語をよりネイティブに近づけたいという方、純粋に英語の語彙を増やしたい方など、いろいろな方にお勧めできる単語帳だと考えています。

Today, I will talk about my special vocabulary book of English.
Do you know the guy named Atsu?
He is a Japanese Youtuber and worked as an accountant in Australia before.
He has been a Youtuber for a long time. And he introduces the way to study English.
Today’s topic is the vocabulary book called “Distinction”.
There is partⅠⅡⅢ and this is my favorite series.
The most attractive point of these is the words listed.
At first glance, I could understand only 20-30% of the words in there.
Though words are not especially difficult, I haven’t met these words at that time.
The words in Distinction series are truly used by native speakers, but we don’t have the opportunity to see them in Japan.
Atsu chose those fantastic line-up from his experiences in AUS.
Words in this book will broaden your horizon.
Plus, there is another good point in these books.
Another good point is the layout of the page.
There is a phrase, English meaning, Japanese translation, and the origin of the phrase.
The layout is really effective and beautiful, I think.
There are two fabulous sentences and it is useful to imagine the situation to use those phrases.
Phrases are divided into four parts, I usually do 20 new words and 20 other words I did yesterday.
I was too glad when I could use those words.
And sometimes, a native speaker is surprised to my words.
This vocabulary book is only sold on Atsu’s site.
And this one is good for everyone.
It seems to be like marketing lol.
