研究テーマについて

今日は勉強がはかどりません、困りましたねえ

そんなわけで、今日は昼間からブログを書いております。

卒論とかの勉強ばかり最近しているので、今日はその話を。

ここでまとめたら後でいいことあるかな、、、って。

卒論のテーマ、そして大学院で研究する予定のテーマは、「水平的不平等」という概念でございます。

そんなものは、まあほとんど大体の人が聞いたことないと思うんですけど

水平的不平等という概念は、紛争の発生原因を探るための一つの指標のようなもので、グループとグループの間の不平等や格差に着目するものです。

で、じゃあなぜこれをやってるのかと言いますと。

自分はずっと東南アジアに興味があり、その勉強をするために大学に入りました。

そして、東南アジアについて勉強を進めていく中で現在も世界にはたくさんの紛争があることがわかってきました。

そこで、自分が将来そうした紛争解決に携わっていきたいと考えるようになりました。

そうして紛争解決について勉強していた時に出会ったのがこの概念でした。

非常に有用な概念だとは思うのですが、いかんせんまだ新しいものであることもあり、まだその活用は部分的なものにとどまっています。

私は、そもそもは宗教社会学ゼミにいることもあり、可能であれば開発経済学の観点から生まれた水平的不平等という概念を宗教社会学的な見地から磨きをかけることで宗教紛争に対してより優位にアプローチできるものを作りたいと思っています。

いろいろと調べ始めて見たら、どうにもこうにも日本語の文献がない。

ほとんどの文献が英語なので、文献を読むのが一番時間かかりそうです、、、

今はゆっくり文献を読み進めているところで、なかなか研究が先に進んでくれないのが悩みどころです。

水平的不平等という概念は、4種類の不平等に分けられます。

政治的不平等、経済的不平等、社会的不平等、文化的不平等の4つです。

それぞれ微妙に重なりながら個別に存在していて、それぞれが並行して発現します。

この理論においては、特に政治的、経済的な不平等がより強い影響力を持つものとして考えられています。

こうしたグループ間の不平等を考える仕組みはこれまでにない新しいもので、私はこの枠組みに大きな可能性があるものと考えています。

自分がこの理論を用いて将来直接的に紛争解決に携わり、また貢献することができるように、頑張って研究したいと思います。

Hi, everyone

This is the 23^rd day of my everyday posting challenge.

Today’s topic is my theme of research.

My theme of the graduate paper is “Horizontal Inequalities”.

I think most people haven’t heard of it.

This is a way to analyze the reason for conflict.

It mainly focuses on the inequalities between groups.

I have been interested in South East Asia, and I entered to my university to study about that.

And, I realized that there are many conflicts in the world.

After that, I came to think that I want to address conflict resolution.

For me, this is a really useful notion, but it is still new and unknown for many people.

In the first place, I am majoring sociology of religion.
So, I would like to combinate Horizontal Inequalities and the sociology of religion.

I think I can brush up on the theory and it would be better to apply it to real cases.

HOWEVER, almost all the documents are written in English.

So, it takes much time to read.

“Horizontal Inequalities” is divided into four types.

These are “Political”, “Economic”, “Social”, and “cultural” Horizontal Inequalities.

They exist independently and work in a parallel way.

In my opinion, this theory has big power and it has a lot of effect on conflict resolution.

And I strongly believe in the potential power of the theory.

I am going to study more and would like to contribute to resolving conflict around the world.

I will fight to write the document for the test of grad school.
