映画 "In the Heights" とアメリカ
毎日投稿二日目です。まだまだ元気。
最近アメリカとかかわることが多くてですね。
今日はアメリカの話をしていきたいかなと。
まず、今月二人の友人がアメリカに渡航することになっています。
一人は留学、一人は休学からの復帰で自分の大学へ。
今は日本の状況も芳しくないけれど、こうした中でアメリカへと旅立っていくのは非常にチャレンジングだなと思ったり、また羨ましかったりします。
何せ、自分も留学をあきらめた人間なので。
その一方で、私自身もアメリカへ渡ることを真剣に検討しています。
大学院への進学という形で。
ニューヨークにある、コロンビア大学へ行きたいと考えています。
今やっている、紛争解決の勉強を世界の最先端で学びたいという思いからです。
大学院入試は厳しいと思うけれども、ベストを尽くしてチャレンジしたいと思っています。
自分の最終的な目標は、国連で働くこと。
そのための一つのステップとして、ぜひ飛躍したいなと思っています。
そしてまた、今日は映画 "In the Heights" をみてきました。
アメリカへ戻る友人と。
これは、ニューヨークの一角、ラテン系の移民が集住している「ワシントン・ハイツ」のお話です。
ラテン系のミュージックたっぷりのミュージカル映画で、終始映画の世界に引き込まれていました。
キャラクター一人一人が魅力的なのはもちろん、ニューヨークに暮らす移民たちの生活への思いが丁寧につづられていました。
こうしてアメリカ、さらにはニューヨークを身近に感じている中で、この映画を見られたことは自分をさらにアメリカへと近づけた気がしました。
ストーリーも、曲も、ダンスも最高の作品です。

アメリカは、どうやらやっぱり夢の場所のようです。
夢は願うものではなく叶えるもの。
自分の手で必ず叶えたいと思います。

This is the second day of everyday posting!
I am still fine!
These days, I have some relations with the United States.
So, today's topic is about the U.S.
At first, two of my friends are going to the U.S. this month.
One is as an exchange student, and another is as going back to his university.
Right now, the situation in Japan is also not good. But, it seems challenging to go to the U.S. And I also feel a little bit jealous about going there.
On the other hand, I am planning to go to the U.S.
I would like to go to Colombia University as a grad student.
I am planning to continue studying conflict resolution studies in a world's cutting-edge situation.
My dream is to work for the UN.
It would be a big leap for me.
Secondly, I watched a movie "In The Heights" today with a friend going back to the U.S.
It was a story about a block in Manhattan where lots of Latin immigrants living.
The movie was musical and full of Latin music. I was drawn into the movie by those beautiful songs.
Of course, every character is attractive, and I could look in the real life of Latin people in NYC.
As I have told you, I am feeling close to the U.S., and the movie made the U.S. closer.
The story, songs, and dances, everything was fantastic.
I strongly recommend this movie to everyone.
The United States is the States of Dream.
I will absolutely make my dream come true.
